Hi! I’m Elizabeth.
I live in Southeast Michigan with my husband, no kids yet. I grew up in a family of 10 with parents who somehow kept our house organized amidst the chaos. I learned to appreciate function first, beauty second. This balance of beauty and function, creativity and practicality, intrigued me enough that I decided to major in Interior Design and I fell in love with it.
I am here to help guide you through the process of creating a home that you love and that works well for your family, every day. My goal is to create a space that reflects your own style, filled with personal touches, unique to you. My personal style is a blend of classic New England style with Scandinavian elements. I love the contrast of classic and minimalist, throwing in cozy textures to create a space that is warm and inviting but not overly stylized.
A few of Elizabeth’s favorite things:
Favorite rooms to design:
Kitchens! And butler’s pantries or bars. I work full-time for a kitchen and bath remodeler and have learned that the kitchen is truly the heart of the home. A kitchen remodel can change the entire feel of the house. I love to create a space that is tailored to how each home chef functions, but still feels like a work of art.
Colors:
I love a neutral backdrop, not too much gray or beige but that perfect in-between. I’m also drawn to pops of color; emerald, stormy blue and terracotta being some of my favorites.
Design Inspiration:
I find most of my inspiration by searching and reading articles on Pinterest or Houzz. I love Jean Stoffer Design (her kitchens are incredible), and Young House Love (great DIY ideas). I also draw lots of inspiration from architecture, especially shows like The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes (Netflix).
