“One October day in my junior year of college, I found out I was a expecting a baby boy. I can hardly remember the millions of thoughts went through my head as I tried to process this news, but I will never forget the two massive questions that seemed to be on a loop: “What am I going to do?” and “What are people going to think?” I knew I wanted to finish college and raise him — despite the many, many challenges I knew would come with this.
It was hard but it was not impossible. More than anything, I wanted to set a good example for my son. I wanted to show him that it’s important never to back down from a challenge.
There is no such thing as giving up.”
