Parr Park | Grapevine, TX

A park of natural beauty, Parr Park is great for outdoor adventures, including picnics and walks through the woods.

Address: 3010 Parr Lane, Grapevine, TX

Parr Park in Grapevine is definitely a go-to park for an outdoorsy family day. It’s tucked away from busy roads, surrounded by trees, and there are big fields of green grass (in DFW, who knew!?).

One of the best aspects of this park is the paved walking trail. The trail is partially shaded, and winds nicely through the trees (there is a creek, too!) Normally it’s a pretty quiet path, but there are occasional bikers, so it’s best to have smaller kids in strollers. If you’re looking for a beautiful nature walk, this is the place to go.

The playground here is large, open, and spacious. It’s generally busy, but not too busy. It’s full of all sorts of climbing structures for both little toddlers and older kids. The playground is not enclosed, but, it is set back a little ways from the road and parking.

There are no trees in the center of the playground to break the heat where the kids play, but there are trees along the outer perimeter, and bench seating in the shade too. So kids do have a spot to take a quick break from the heat on warmer days, and caregivers have a shady spot to sit. Also, during the summer, there is a fun sprayground at this park too! Always a huge hit when it’s hot.
