Klyde Warren Park | Dallas, TX

Urban and relaxing, Klyde Warren is a great park for people of all ages.

Address:
2012 Woodall Rodgers Fwy, Dallas, TX 75201

Nestled in the middle of downtown Dallas, beautiful Klyde Warren Park sits against a striking city backdrop. This urban park is a relaxing space for everyone — corporate executives having lunch, families enjoying the outdoors, and happy puppies going for a stroll. Filled with bubbly water features and winding tree-lined paths, this park is certainly well designed. A central feature of the park is its large, open green lawn.

Since this park is located downtown, there’s an energy here which makes it always a fun place to walk around and explore. Occasionally, concerts are held here and weekly events like yoga for adults and children’s storytime programs too. Whenever we have visitors who’ve never been to Dallas, Klyde Warren is always on our list of places to stop by. We like that it’s family-friendly and close to downtown restaurants and attractions, like the Dallas Museum of Art.

For the children, there is an enclosed “Children’s Park” within Klyde Warren. This area has a large fountain system which functions as a splash pad. A variety of climbing structures and a “tree house” viewing area is also part of this creative, adventurous kids space. The Children’s Park is mainly covered in a soft, rubber-type of ground covering, excluding the water areas. However, there are mini-hills in the middle of the play space which are covered in astroturf (these hills tend to get a little slippery if kids climb on them with wet feet)!

Bring a picnic blanket, snacks, and a soccer ball – and the kids will have a blast running on the central green lawn too!
